About me

Hi there! I'm Max - an instructional designer.

My pathway to instructional design mirrors the history of the field itself. In 1971, the Department of Audio-Visual Instruction (DAVI) changed its name to the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT). This renaming of one of the foremost professional organizations in the field reflects my own career transformation - except in my case the beginning of that journey was 2019. After spending a few years pursuing the audio visual field of filmmaking, I decided to begin to broaden my focus to the field of instructional design/technology as a whole. This pivot allows me to be creative and utilize some of the technical skills I developed in Hollywood while creating interesting and impactful learning experiences for others.
